Slack is a collaborative workspace utilized by many organizations to facilitate communication and mutual assistance. Slack can be accessed/installed on smart phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops. CryoEM users at Johns Hopkins find it very useful. For example, if a facility user is having an issue setting up a data collection run they can quickly post their issue to the workspace and easily add cell pictures or screen shots for clarity. Any workspace user that is online can then immediately help their colleague.
